Interview Copilot is not code-signed (no paid Apple/Microsoft certificate yet), so your system will warn you the first time. That is expected — follow the steps below to open it safely.
Interview Copilot не має цифрового підпису (поки без платного сертифіката Apple/Microsoft), тому система попередить тебе при першому запуску. Це нормально — виконай кроки нижче, щоб безпечно відкрити застосунок.
Download the right build
On the download page pick Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3 or newer) or Intel (2020 and earlier). Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Interview Copilot into Applications.
Remove the quarantine flag (required)
Because the app is unsigned, macOS marks it as “damaged / from an unidentified developer”. Open Terminal and run this one line to clear it:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Interview Copilot.app"This removes Apple's download-quarantine attribute so Gatekeeper lets the app open. It does not change the app — it just tells macOS you trust it.
Open it
Launch Interview Copilot from Applications. If macOS still asks, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click “Open Anyway”.
Allow screen & audio access
On first run, grant Screen Recording (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording) so it can hear the call audio. The overlay stays invisible during screen share.
Updating later
Nothing to do by hand. When a new version is out, the app shows a banner — click Update and it replaces itself and restarts. The quarantine step is not needed again: that flag comes from the browser, and an in-app update never goes through one.

Прибери позначку карантину (обов'язково)
Оскільки застосунок без підпису, macOS позначає його як «пошкоджений / від неідентифікованого розробника». Відкрий Термінал і виконай цей один рядок:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Interview Copilot.app"Це знімає атрибут карантину, який macOS ставить на завантажені файли, — тоді Gatekeeper дозволяє відкрити застосунок. Сам застосунок не змінюється; ти просто кажеш системі, що довіряєш йому.
Відкрий застосунок
Запусти Interview Copilot з Програм. Якщо macOS усе одно питає — зайди в Системні налаштування → Конфіденційність і безпека, прогорни вниз і натисни «Усе одно відкрити».
Дозволь доступ до екрана й звуку
При першому запуску надай дозвіл Запис екрана (Системні налаштування → Конфіденційність і безпека → Запис екрана), щоб застосунок чув звук дзвінка. Оверлей лишається невидимим при шерингу екрана.
Оновлення надалі
Руками робити нічого не треба. Коли вийде нова версія, застосунок покаже банер — тиснеш Оновити, і він сам себе замінює та перезапускається. Команда з карантином більше не потрібна: цю позначку ставить браузер, а оновлення всередині застосунку через браузер не йде.
Download the installer
On the download page click Windows. You get Interview Copilot Setup.exe — a regular installer, no manual unzipping.
Get past SmartScreen
Run the downloaded Setup.exe. Because the app is unsigned, Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. This is expected for apps without a paid certificate.
Follow the installer
Click Next, optionally change the install folder, then Install and Finish. It installs for your user only — no admin prompt needed.
Updating later
Nothing to do by hand. When a new version is out, the app shows a banner — click Update and it downloads and installs the update itself, then restarts. If that ever fails, the banner also links to the latest installer to run by hand.
Завантаж інсталятор
На сторінці завантаження натисни Windows. Отримаєш Interview Copilot Setup.exe — звичайний інсталятор, розпаковувати вручну не треба.
Пройди SmartScreen
Запусти завантажений Setup.exe. Оскільки застосунок без підпису, Windows покаже «Захист Windows захистив ваш ПК». Натисни «Докладніше», потім «Виконати в будь-якому разі». Це нормально для застосунків без платного сертифіката.
Пройди майстер встановлення
Натисни Next, за бажанням зміни теку встановлення, тоді Install і Finish. Встановлюється лише для твого користувача — запит адміністратора не потрібен.
Оновлення надалі
Руками робити нічого не треба. Коли вийде нова версія, застосунок покаже банер — тиснеш Оновити, і він сам завантажує та встановлює оновлення, потім перезапускається. Якщо колись не спрацює — банер також дає посилання на останній інсталятор, щоб запустити вручну.
